INGREDIENTS,

  1.           500g chicken,
  2. 4 large Onion,
  3. 5-6 medium potatoes,
  4. 1 tsp haldi,
  5. 1 tsp Coriander powder,
  6. 2 tsp red chilli powder,
  7. 1 tblsp ginger paste,
  8. 1 tblsp Garlic Paste,
  9. 1 tsp zeera powder,
  10. 1 tsp garam masala powder,
  11. 2 pc cardamom,
  12. 2pc clove,
  13. 1 cinnamon stick,
  14. 5-7 whole black pepper,
  15. Salt to taste,
  16. 3 tblsp oil,
  17. Coriander leaves for garnishing,

INSTRUCTIONS RECIPE,

  • Wash chicken and keep aside,
  • Cut the potatoes into halves & shallow fry with a pinch of Haldi,
  • Grind the onion into smooth paste,
  • In a vessel heat oil,
  • Add in the whole spices and onion paste,
  • Now add in Haldi, Red chilli powder, Salt and coriander powder,
  • Add in the garlic and ginger paste,
  • Cook for concerning ten minutes on medium Flame. Add very little water if masala turns dry,
  • Now add in the chicken meat  and cook until oil separates,
  • At this point add in the potatoes,
  • Now add the Garam masala Powder and Zeera powder. Mix well,
  • Cook for another 5-7minutes,
  • Now add enough water to make Shorba like you curry,
  • Add salt if required,
  • Bring the curry to boil,
  • Lower the flame & cover with lid. Cook until chicken & potatoes tender and become soft,
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves,
  • Serve hot with rice or phulka rooti,
